In 1994, Jeff Avery began doing investments and insurance to help people prepare for retirement. He found that people didn’t have any investment money because they had too much debt. However, they did have equity in their home. He began doing mortgages to help people free up money by consolidating their debt to be able to invest for retirement. He also found there are many people unable to qualify for conventional A-credit financing and thus, he was unable to help all of his clients. At that time he found a mortgage company that specialized in helping people with less then perfect credit, who were self employed and could not verify their income, and/or hard to do properties. He went to work for that mortgage company and soon was promoted to one of their regional managers.

Then in 1996, Jeff and Stephanie Avery licensed Avery Financial Group, Inc. and their company motto became “If we can’t do your loan, no one can.” Jeff felt it was important to grow his company to cover all of Eastern Idaho. Thus in March of 2003, he opened the Pocatello office. Avery Financial Group is licensed to do mortgages in all of Idaho, as well as in Utah and Wyoming. We have competitive rates for the standard A credit loans up to the hard money loans and everything in between. We do it all and make it painless for the client.

We feel it is important to conduct our business by “under-promising and over-delivering.” We do not feel it is fair to anyone by telling a buyer we can do something when we don’t know for sure if we can. By so doing, our customers never arrive to their closing to be surprised that their interest rate or closing fees are higher than what they were originally quoted. In fact, many times our customers close their home loan and find we were able to get them a better deal than we originally thought

When I started this company I knew our success would only come through knowing what our customers wanted: honest, friendly, well priced service, from down to earth people who care for their customers. Our goal is to help people. We can do that best because we have been around longer then most of the Real Estate and Mortgage companies in Southeastern Idaho. That’s important because we know the community and reflect the integrity and honesty of this great area in which we live.
